hi folks,
in two nights I imaged M3, which is such a beautiful cluster!
tight though and therfor tough to process, it is so cute to see the center split in the TMB scope.
one night granted very nice conditions; the second one, when I did the colors was very windy and seeing was bad.
Since I wanted to have a nice FOV I decided to image with the 5" f/9 TMB SApo, which was a good idea, as seeing was so bad the second night, I could not have guided for 2050mm FL.
I wanted to do the colors in 1x1,...but I should have decided differently...seeing,...exposure time...f/9 is quite s l o w.
please find all data and images on my website:

thanks for taking a look.
your comments are appreciated.
best regards,
Dietmar

Diets , Great Shot ! One of my most favorite GCs' to look at . Actually , my first Bushnell reflector scope i bought back in '96 , before my Celestron C8 , this was the first actual object i ever spotted ! By luck too ! I didn't know exactly what i was doing and i didn't have any good EPs' so M3 was a small fuzz ball cause the 4.5" Bushnell didn't resolve any stars so what i thought i was seeing was a galaxie
, til i decided i needed a good scope and bought the C8 and after i learned to use it i found M3 again and saw it was a GC which got me hooked til today as GC are my #1 objects over everything ! Thanks for sharing and as i said , Great Shot ! BTW i never realized how many fuzzies are around M3
!! Lots' show up in your large image !!

...thanks Mark, C8 and Bud.
C8, I know what you are talking about. I once looked through a "retro-designed" 3cm lens scope. the guy who owned this wanted to experience the same view Galileo had when looking at the planets. w etoo, as Galileo only saw 3 balls of diffferent size when we observed saturn with it. the larger one was th eplanet, the smaller ones were the edges of the rings... (-:
there is nothing so sexy than an unobstructed apochromatic telescope,..or a decent mirror... (-:
